mySociety

Founded in September 2003, with two missions:
- To be a charitable project which builds websites that give people simple, tangible benefits in the civic and community aspects of their lives.
- To teach the public and voluntary sectors, through demonstration, how to most efficiently use the internet to improve lives.
A mixture of paid people and volunteers

Two clicks to let your council and your neighbours know that something is broken in your neighbourhood
Funded by the Department for Constitutional Affairs Innovation Fund, in partnership with the Young Foundation
Orignally for two local authorities, but that's more work than national!

Things that make me happy

It works without JavaScript and/or images (and can be even better once we parse Address-Point, now that it's arrived)
Council response has been 100% positive (so far)
Things have already been fixed!

Thing that makes me unhappy

Dragging the map works fine on "View problem" page in Safari, but not on the "Report problem" page
